Ascension Surges

Hey all,

I was experimenting a bit with ascension surges and found out about a nice plugin for ACT that can help with getting more combos/surges.

Steps to get it and enable:

Open ACT

Click the "Plugins" tab at the top

In the upper right corner, look for a little button that says "Get Plugins" and click it

Look for one called "(69) Ascension Combos" - click on it, then click on "Download and Enable"

You'll now see another tab appear next to "Plugin Listing" and "ACT_English_Parser.cs" under the Plugins tab, called "AscensionCombos.cs" - click on this.

You'll see four rows, one per Ascension class. Find your ascension class and check the checkbox under "Enable" for it.

With that, you're done with getting this plugin set up to detect most ascension abilities and tell you when to cast yours for extra value.

There are some spells that can't be automatically detected by the plugin since they don't trigger any data in the logs:

Ethermancy

Brittle Armor

Tainted Mutation

Withering

For these, I recommend macroing the spells as follows:

Right click the spell, and choose "Create Macro"

Press the "Add Step" button (it will add a new "Command")

In the new "Command", put the following /say depending upon which spell you are putting the macro on:

Ethermancy: /say surge Scorched Earth

Brittle Armor: /say surge Ethershadow Assassin

Tainted Mutation: /say surge Telluric Rending

Withering: /say surge Frozen Heavens
